In regards to Coronavirus COVID-19, The Palmdale Group wish to advise:
As at 3 January 2021, funerals are subject to the one person per four square metre rule and a COVID-Safe business registration. All attendees (excluding those from the same household), are required to adhere to the 4 sq. metre rule.
As per NSW Health Guidelines: Facemasks are mandatory for all attendees for indoor funeral services in Greater Sydney, Central Coast and Wollongong areas
To comply with this amendment, The Palmdale Group advises: From Monday, 23 November 2020, recording customer information digitally by using QR codes or other electronic means will be mandatory in NSW for funerals and memorial services. It is also mandatory for gatherings held after funerals and memorial services.
This information will be used for contact tracing where necessary, which helps stop the spread of COVID-19.
To comply with the NSW Government requirement, The Palmdale Group will provide unique QR codes for locations, chapels, wake facilities and offices for use.
All people attending chapel services, burials, cremations, interments, ash placements and catered functions or wakes will be required to check in using the QR Codes at these locations.
Check-in information remains confidential and will only be used for the purpose of COVID-19 contact tracing.
Please ensure you have the Service NSW app on your phone to enable scanning of the QR Code. Via the Link below
Check-in via the QR Code:
When an attendee arrives at the funeral service, they hover their phone camera over the code on display. The smartphone reads the QR code and the check in page appears.
The attendee enters their contact details.
A staff member may check the successful sign-in on the attendee’s phone.
Funeral Directors and families can assist by advising people attending the funeral of the QR code check in process and assisting them to check in when they arrive.
Customers without a mobile phone will be asked to record their details on the Record of Attendance form provided at the service.
Chapel capacities are determined by the 1.5m ruling, with a maximum attendance of 100.
Funeral and Memorial Services held in our chapels will have the following numbers allowable due to 4 sq metre rule. Social distancing is still to be strictly adhered to.
Our current chapel capacities are as follows to comply with social distancing:
- *Rose Chapel: A maximum of 25 mourners
- *Hillside Chapel: A maximum of 50 mourners
- *Greenway Chapel: A maximum of 40 mourners
- *St Patricks of Nulkaba: A maximum of 60 mourners
- *Western Districts: A maximum of 35 mourners
- *Erina Heights Chapel (Creightons exclusive): A maximum of 40 mourners
*We offer complimentary recording of the service and live streaming to our chapels.
